Black Panther 2 : Wakanda Forever

Black Panther: Wakanda forever is an upcoming superhero movie based on marvel comics character Black Panther. It is intended to be the sequel to Black Panther (2018). It is being directed by Rayan Coogler who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole. It was started Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa (Black Panther). In Black Panther (2018), T’Challa was crowned king of Wakanda following his father’s death. But Black Panther was officially announced in October 2014, and Boseman made his first appearance as the character in Captain America Civil War (2016).

In Black Panther 2 movie, director Coogler wanted to see how T'Challa would grow as a king in future. But unfortunately, Boseman died from colon cancer on August 28, 2020. Coogler stated that working on the film without Boseman  as the hardest thing he had ever done. So, there are 2 solutions for Disney. First one is they can recast the role. Second one is shift there plans and have Shuri to take on the mantle of the Black Panther. 

In December 2020, Feige (Producer) confirmed the roll of T'Challa would not be recast. Further, the sequel would explore the world and characters of the first film as way to honor the legacy the Boseman helped build. Feige also confirmed that visual effects would not be used to include Boseman in the film. But this film will show the death of the T'Challa. It won't be a sudden death, it will be the best heroic death ever. Therefore, this film will be pretty emotional one for the Black Panther lovers.

So, it is had better to shift the mantle of Black Panther to Shuri. Shuri is the princess of Wakanda and daughter of T'Chaka and Ramonda. Further, she is the sister of T'Challa and an heiress to the throne of Wakanda. Shuri has super powers and abilites of an animorphism genius-level intellect, expert martial artist, necromancy super speed, stone skin use of high-tech equipment and weapons including vibranium uniform enhanced agility, durability, endurance, reflexes, senses, stamina and strength. 

But there are some criticisms on feminism in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The few prominent woman characters that do exist in the MCU, like Black Widow, Gamora, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, Iornheart, Mighty Thor adhere to a specific brand of feminist representation. Therefore, they will more focus on the story than Shuri's mantle of Black Panther.  However, if Shuri will be the next Panther, she will be the first woman to become that mantle. 

When it comes to the story, there will be a conflict between Wakanda Vs. Atlantis because of the Iornheart. Iornheart is also a superhero character appearing American Comics. She has a super genius level intellect. Therefore, becoming Shuri as the next Black Panther is more possible.

In this part, Namor who is the princes of Atlantis will come as the main villain. Namor possesses the super strength and aquatic abilities. Further, we expect to see Storm in Wakanda Forever. She is a fictional character in American comics. Storm has a powerful mutant with weather manipulating abilities and she is a love interest of Black Panther (T'Challa).

In Moon Knight TV series, they were revealed more facts about the Egyptian gods. Therefore we can expect Bast Black Panther on this film. He was the protector of Panther Clan and he is also referred as the "Panther God". He will help Wakanda to face powerful villain called Namor. Sometimes, Moon Knight will also appear in this movie.

Black Panther is the movie which inspired the black lives matters. Therefore they will keep that quality also in this film. Most of the time, Shuri will meet T'Challa in ancestral plane like T'Challa saw his father in Black Panther 1. So we'll waiting for watching this masterpiece till Novermber 11, 2022.
