Thor Love And Thunder

THOR LOVE AND THUNDER

Thor Love and Thunder is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics character Thor. It will be the direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) 29th film. Chris Hemsworth (as Thor) starred along with Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi, Russell Crowe, and Natalie Portman in the picture directed by Taika Waititi, who co-wrote the story with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. In the movie, Thor tries to achieve inner peace, but he has to get back to work and recruit Valkyrie (Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and Jane Foster (Portman) who is now the Mighty Thor to prevent Gorr the God Butcher (Bale) from the destruction of all the gods. By January 2018, Hemsworth and Waititi have discussed prospects for a Ragnarok sequel. In July 2019, Hemsworth, Waititi, and Thompson, as well as Portman, who did not appear in Ragnarok, were confirmed to return for Love and Thunder. Waititi intended to set Love and Thunder apart from Ragnarok by making a romantic comedy and an action film set in the 1980s. He drew inspiration from Jason Aaron's run on the Mighty Thor comic book, in which Foster takes on Thor's mantle and powers while battling cancer. Robinson joined the project in February 2020 to help to the writing, and later that year, more casting was confirmed, including the presence of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Production was supposed to start in late 2020, but the COVID-19 epidemic pushed it back. Filming began in January 2021 in Sydney, Australia, and ended in early June of that year.

As part of Phase Four of the MCU, Thor: Love and Thunder will debut in Los Angeles on June 23, 2022 and will be distributed in the United States on July 8, 2022.

Cast:

·         Chris Hemsworth (Thor):

Asgard's former king and an Avenger, based on the same-named Norse mythological deity. Thor is having a midlife crisis in the movie, according to director Taika Waititi, who is "simply trying to figure out his purpose, trying to figure out precisely who he is and why he's a hero or whether he should be a hero."

·         Christian Bale (Gorr the God Butcher)

A scarred galactic murderer with a "strange and scary" sword who aims to wipe out the gods. Gorr, according to Waititi, is "very formidable" and layered.

·         Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie)

Based on the mythological figure Brynhildr, the monarch of New Asgard. The character's bisexuality would be addressed in the film, according to Thompson and producer Kevin Feige. Valkyrie had to acclimate to the bureaucratic sides of ruling, such as dealing with New Asgard's infrastructure and economy, and hosting representatives from other countries, according to Waititi.

·         Jaimie Alexander (Sif)

Based on the Norse legendary deity of the same name, an Asgardian warrior and Thor's childhood companion.

·         Taika Waititi (Korg)

Thor's companion, a Kronan gladiator

·         Russell Crowe (Zeus)

The king of the Olympians based on the Greek mythical deity of the same name.

·         Natalie Portman (Jane Foster / Mighty Thor)

An astrophysicist and Thor's ex-girlfriend who is getting cancer treatment while transforming into the superhero Mighty Thor, gaining an outfit and powers identical to Thor's thanks to the use of a reconstructed version of his hammer Mjolnir. After speaking with Waititi, Portman agreed to return after not appearing in the previous film Thor: Ragnarok (2017). Foster's return to Thor's existence after eight years, according to Waititi, will be a major adjustment for him because she has lived a life apart from him. Foster walking up dressed as Thor, according to Waititi, would be a "real mindfuck" for him.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to launch on June 23, 2022 in Los Angeles. It will be released on July 7, 2022, in the United Kingdom, and July 8, 2022, in the United States. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was originally scheduled to be released on November 5, 2021, but was pushed back to February 18, 2022. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was rescheduled from November 2021 to March 2022, and then again to May 6, 2022, in December 2020, before changing to the July 2022 date in October 2021. It will be part of the MCU's fourth phase.
